My Story
Not your everyday instructor!
Originally certified in 2008 I began diving to better understand and explore the underwater world. Over the next few years I progressed through advanced, and rescue diver. Following this I went diving as much as I could and added specialties to my training. I’ve had many dive buddies along the way.
In February of 2018 I began training with Global Underwater Explorers, beginning with fundamentals and progressing through Rec. 3, DPV and Cave 1. I completed my Tech 1 in July of 2022 and am currently an instructor intern working towards my fundamentals and Rec.1 instructor qualifications. I chose GUE for the community and challenge involved with their thorough training.
I am also a Reef Check diver, completing my initial training in June of 2023. Founded in 1996, the Reef Check Foundation is an international non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of tropical coral reefs and temperate kelp forests. With offices in Los Angeles and Santa Cruz, California and volunteer teams in more than 40 countries and territories, Reef Check’s mission is to lead citizen scientists who promote stewardship of sustainable reef communities around the globe.
I started my Professional training in 2018, becoming certified as a Divemaster in December 2018. I became an Open Water Scuba Instructor in May of 2019. Progressing to Master Scuba Diver Trainer in December of 2019 and IDC Staff Instructor in September of 2020.
